About Alternative Footwear
Alternative Footwear specialise in unusual shoes and boots. Not that our footwear is strange, just you won't find it in your local shoe shop. Known locally as the kinky boot factory, AF now operates purely from our warehouse and distribution centre in Ramsbottom, Lancs. No, before you ask we are NOT in
Our history, Alternative Footwears 1st direct retail outlet was in the town centre of Ramsbottom, less than a mile from our distribution centre, many of our regular customers and visitors still talk about it.
With our continuing efforts to meet customer demands, a retail showroom was built inside our distribution centre giving a greater selection and ease of availability to our ever-growing customers needs and eventually closed our little shop. Even today we still have calls from returning customers stood outside our old shop (which is now a hair salon) asking for directions. We deliberately had our shop telephone numbers now redirected to our warehouse as well as our direct warehouse ones. So if you're looking at an advert of ours from many years ago hopefully we can help you find us.
Warehouse showroom open to the public
Over the years Alternative Footwear have had many requests, some big, some small from nearly every kind of media available from magazines, music production and television programmes. We have also even had our fair share of celebrities coming and trying on our wide ranges of shoes and boots!
We have always tried to accomodate as many as we can but sometimes it's just impossible to please everyone, however at the moment the well known BBC show D.I.Y. S.O.S have just finished recording a very special episode featuring the builders wearing our fantastic high heels and below you will find some of our other television appearances.
On this page we hope to give you just some brief information about some of our personal favourite highlights and the moments that made us proud to sell, and be Alternative Footwear.
Alternative Footwear Supply Channel 4 Big Brother
Alternative Footwear supply Channel 4 BB7 ( big brother 7 ) with high heels, thigh boots, shoes for this years housemates.
AF UK supply most TV, stage, drama and production companies with high heels, shoes, knee-boots, thigh boots and sexy shoes.
This years Channel 4 production of big brother, series 7 ( BB7) again saw alternative footwear's shoes and boots. More details to follow.

Alternative Footwear Supply ITV Loose Women
In September 2005 Alternative Footwear were asked to supply a range of shoes for Loose Women, an ITV daily chat show. Nina wore a pair of our red extreme heels (8” heel) during London fashion week.
Alternative Footwear has been supplying high heels to various promotion and production companies for many years, as well as a host of models and fashion magazines.

We are currently featuring big brother contestant jodie marsh. Our high heels and sexy shoes can be seen frequently in most weekly magazines.

Out and About
We no longer attend the monthly fairs up and down the country, as the physical logistics usually entail an artic truck. However, we usually attend two events each year.
