Whitby Goth Weekend is one of our favourite events of the year as it brings in huge crowds of people from all over the country to join in with the fun and festivites. It really is something to see so many amazing Gothic and Victorian outfits and dress styles, especially at this time of year with Halloween around the corner - and as always we're there to offer great gothic footwear to go with all of the fantastic styles and Halloween costumes.

Whitby Goth Weekend has been running since 1994 and has become globally renowned as one of the most extravagant and fun events to go to. It's not just for goths either, with vendors like us catering for all kinds of alternative styles from steampunk and victorian styles of shoes and boots to biker and punk styles. We have a great time every year we are there, as do the customers who go. So come down this weekend (2nd-4th of November) and see all it has to offer.

Hello again to everybody reading and welcome back to our blog. Today I wanted to share the appreciation of one of the most popular styles we have in our range at the moment. It crosses the line between being a sexy knee boot for all occassions and a classic, stylish Victorian / Gothic style. It is a lace up knee high boot with roughly a 4 1/2" heel and a rounded toe, available in black patent, black matte and white. Here's a picture of each colour so you can have a look:

As you can see, it's no surprise these boots have been so popular with so many people, they're gorgeous styles and are suitable for most shapes as they are a relatively stretchy material and are lace up with a full tongue on the inside so you can loosen the laces plenty. Footwear suppliers to the stars!

Alternative footwear supply a wide array of people from all walks of life, as well as television companies, theaters, productions companies, catalog companies, dance troops, tribute bands, dancers, performers, entire dance troops, rock bands, models, numerous photograhers and a wide variety of celebraties to list but a few. We are currently featuring big brother contestant jodie marsh. Our high heels and sexy shoes can be seen frequently in most weekly magazines.

Our Alternative Extreme Shoes created quite a stir amongst the guests and was a talking point throughout the show. This is not the 1st time Alternative Footwear have supplied ITV or other Television production companies, we supply many costume departs with the alternative and extreme shoes boots.

Alternative Footwear has been supplying high heels to various promotion and production companies for many years, as well as a host of models and fashion magazines.

Erotica 2004 A Busy year for our Footwear.

2004 was very busy for the Erotica show, having two events a year, Both London Erotica, and the start of Manchester Erotica at the GMex. We at Alternative Footwear attended all of these bringing our collection of high heels and platform shoes goth boots, fetish shoes and thigh high boots like no other before us.

Erotica 2007 - A very busy year for thigh boots at Alternative Footwear.

Throughout most of the 2000's Alternative Footwear had been a prominant regular stand at Erotica, 2007 saw something quite inexpected from us, a REAL half price sale on all Sexy Shoes and Kinky Boots, something we have never repeated.

Pictured below, the calm before the storm - the day before Erotica opens its doors to the public, our staff preparing for a very busy weekend of hard work helping our loyal customers with their favourite pairs of stiletto's, thighboots and extreme heels.

As usual to bring our sexy boot and shoe stand to London takes some planning, a fabulous team of removal men a 40ft truck and most importantly our extremely helpful staff's time and dedication. building the stand of thousands of pairs of our thigh high boots and stiletto heels takes weeks of preparation and a very long day once delivered to Olympica.

In 2007 we at Alternative Footwear offered an incredible half price sale to all our loyal customers who came to see us every year at Erotica, the reason behind this was our own warehouse where we stock and dispatch thousands of pairs of thigh boots and sexy shoes was becoming more and more over crowded despite having a 2nd floor built at Alternative Footwear HQ we simply needed more space for new styles that were landing on a daily basis. The reaction from the crowds at  2007 Erotica was of dismay and although we ran two checkouts constantly as well as floor staff, the queue soon reached the edges of  our stands, we were grateful to our customers for standing inline patiently holding on to their selected bargains many of which trying to hold on to multiple pairs of sexy shoes and kinky boots.

The last Erotica - End of an Era

When Erotica first opened its doors over a decade a go, it was the must go to event of the year amongst the adult community. I wonderous specticle event, with floor shows, strange and wonderful things that could blow your imagination wild. Alternative Footwear took its roadshow to almost every Erotica, including the Manchester Erotica's, bringing our sensibly priced affordable kinkyboots to the masses, which sold in masses too. WIth the internet and e-shopping now the prefered way to shop for many adult customers Erotica event saw a decline in attendance from the general public, many of the regular stall holders had either quit, gone out of business or downsized their events.. what was once a must do event for the majority of the adult industry became poorly supported and eventually with the economic down turn closed its doors.
